1401 is a quarterly-published comic book that chronicles the lives of five friends during the 2022 (1401) women-led uprising in Iran.

Five individuals from different socioeconomic corners of Iran meet during a protest and come together to fight against the tyrannical Islamic Republic. Outgunned and outnumbered, they resort to well-planned acts of civil disobedience to unveil the underlying rot within the Iranian regime: putting on display its incompetence and corruption. However, all of that changes when one of them (Mehdi) helps out a young girl (Negin) who’s running away from the Basij, the Islamic Republic’s armed militia.

This is the second issue in the series and continues the story as we get to learn more about Mehdi and his backstory, get introduced to Asal and get ready for the gang's major operation.
